As Danny Glover once said, “I’m too old for this shit”. I’m outtie indefinitely, there’s only so much I can take of teenage girls and their feelings expressed through pretentious photographs and hipsters trying too hard to look cool by posting a song’s lyrics that they, like, totally associate with after one afternoon where everything went wrong because the barista at Starbucks didn’t look into their eyes deep enough or whatever.
I hardly used this anyway so it’s not like anyone’s missing out, this is just my social network notice of resignation…at least, from tumblr.
p.s. I know I’ve probably been slave to the odd emophoto moment but there you go, I was young and foolish.
…And never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot for the sake of auld lang syne?
Anyways, Happy New Year you lovely bunch of coconuts!
Resolutions are at the ready in Casa del Thumbs (me) and 2012 is sure to be a real doozy for changes. I feel that 2011 was a year long R&R from the couple of years before that and the consequent fallout (and fall-outs) so this year I’m going in all guns blazing. Just try and stop me!
Had a quiet one as far as parties were concerned on NYE, just sat in front of the Hootenanny at home with the parents in my onesie (so fly, I know…) and ushered in the new year from the comfort of a lovely sofa. Swansea house, take notes!
Christmas was amazing this year, partly because Doctor Who was on (Karen Gillan, nom) and partly because Father Christmas and all his elves were hard at work getting my family lovely gifts. It was well nice. Oh and I got a Christmas jumper too, so, you know, WIN.
Uni exams draw nearer now though and I should probably get my backside into gear, it is after all one of my resolutions to be less apathetic and do things! A man can dream though, a man can dream.
Anywho, I daresay this year I’ll be trying to post some more music, movies and mumblings as they enter and escape my shambles mind, so if anyone’s reading these, watch this space.
Lots of Festive (it still counts!) cheer and love,
Simon x
So it’s like half 1 at night, I’m out of coffee and my university assignments are going nowhere, but screw it, I’m wearing a poncho.
Well I haven’t posted on here in what feels like a year (probably about that much) and to be honest nobody’s missed much. I passed first year at university okay, I ended my teenage years last month and Christmas is coming…but that affects pretty much everyone.
On music, Modern Beach are going to get stuff together again over the hols and do some recording (yay!) so that’s definitely something to look forward to when I’m back home (:
Secondly, after a brief text conversation with my best mate James E. Taylor (the E stands for Egregious…probably) our wee comic project of Ethelred the Unready may be getting a re-visit too. Just call me Damon Albarn.
As for movies, well I’ve been revising my screenwriting nonsense from a couple of years back and have decided to get back into the swing of things. I have a few ideas lined up that I’ll get written probably by the end of next year if things go quickly, though I’m sure they’ll just end up gathering dust towards the end. I can’t come up with names for characters either, so I’m at a loss really.
Romance isn’t really in the air either, unfortunately. I have started developing this really irritating habit of fancying the pants off any girl that passes into my line of vision. It makes friendships pretty awkward :P oh and I got called attractive by a Spanish-Italian girl who Facebooked me (she’s a friend of James’, so it’s legit in my eyes) so that helped self-esteem at the very least. I must be doing something right after all (:
Anyhoo, this is it pretty much for me so far this time of the year, I’m really looking forward to Xmas and seeing the family again and getting a Christmas jumper and a monkey onesie and new converse and all sorts of other happy things :D
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
WELL MAYBE YOU SHOULDNT BE LIVING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!
You just have to love Bron-hom, superb actoring right there!
Laavely :)
tumblrbot asked: WHERE WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO VISIT ON YOUR PLANET?
Canada. Preferably somewhere around French Canada, though I’d love to do the Northwest Passage at some point in the future.
Heavens above, I should probably get cracking on this, I’ve nearly 20 years of life to catch up on. This is to become my new public sanctuary, where I shed my innermost thoughts and worries, some of which may be dark, whilst trying earnestly to develop some kind of writing skill.
I apologise in advance if anything I say seems self-satisfied and at times utter bull.
By the sea is where I long to be.
Oh wait, I live in Swansea, good times :)
